Modern JesusThe first thing I notice is the blue patch on the bottom leg of her desk. I think of children with blond curls. Bubble gum. Then I wonder if she knows. Maybe she doesn't care. I take a breath and step into the room.   When you walk into the room you make your first choice, the one that affects the rest of your visits. I silently wonder if many people think about this. I doubt anyone does. Within the room there are three places to sit. A fluffy lime green sofa, the kind a person would lie on to tell their story, stare at the ceiling. Another UntitledI want to feel closer to you. I want to feel closer to God, and Jesus, and Mary, and Joseph. And...and Moses. I want to feel closer to you...   I want to know what Moses felt when he split the sea. I want to know what Mary thought when gave birth to Jesus...Jesus, holy...Jesus. And...and I want to know how Joseph felt when he knew it wasn't his son. What he felt when he knew he was insignificant, unimportant, to such beauty.  
 I want to know what Jesus felt when he was hanging on that cross... Was he sad? Jealous...Envious? Furious? I want to know what God feels when all of his beautiful children sin. Does he cry?  & Another Untitled

Holding MemoriesRemember when we were kids,  We'd build forts in my room,  In your house,  The corners of your mind  Made of sheets and blankets  Towels, a sea of clothing   
Looking back now...  I always thought that sea was a little red  Did you fall from the crows nest and never tell me?   
I remember it all now...  We use to get lost  Lost for days in our own little world  And we were young  Young and happy...  Like the saying always goes  We were never aware that all that cloth would soon tatter...
